The Alpine Resort Lake Patrol Experiment: Building on a Local Power Base

The Lake Patrol experiment was a feature-film production, not an organized lake patrol: Andromedia Studios filmed near Roseneath in 2026 with support from family-owned Alpine Resort, turning a familiar lakeside setting into the backdrop for a Canadian comedy. Its lesson for Ontario media producers is simple: local relationships, places and stories can be the first building blocks of a creative economy, a vision Rice Lake Media Incubator is working to grow.
